Private Cloud Hosting Among Leading Data Center Outsourcing Options

More businesses are turning to private cloud hosting rather than public options when they initiate their cloud-based data center outsourcing strategies, according to a recent DataCenter Dynamics survey.

While the private cloud is proving more popular, both options are experiencing growth. Furthermore, the survey found companies are considering the cloud as another data center outsourcing service, not a replacement for current vendor solutions, including colocation and managed hosting.

As a result, the entire data center outsourcing market is expected to grow. The survey found the sector's overall value will likely reach approximately $8 billion during 2012.

Currently, the United States is the largest market for data center outsourcing, as approximately 210,000 server racks are outsourced throughout the country, according to the survey. India is another prominent sector for outsourcing, as 30 percent of server racks are outsourced in the nation.

DataCenter Dynamics is not alone its optimistic conclusion about the data center outsourcing sector. According to a recent Data Center Knowledge survey, approximately 62 percent of respondents are now outsourcing some services to a data center service provider.

The Whole Package

They have been there before. They know what was required and they had the team members to put the project together. It was the whole package that made this an easy decision.
