MLive: 6 Ann Arbor Companies Recognized by Corp! Magazine as Drivers of Michigan's Economy

June 12, 2014: Jeremy Allen, reporter for MLive, writes Online Tech was one of 6 Ann Arbor companies recognized by Corp! Magazine as a Michigan Economic Bright Spot.

Six Ann Arbor companies were recognized Thursday by Corp! magazine for being among Michigan's best innovators and leaders and driving forces behind the state's economic recovery.

LLamasoft Inc., Menlo Innovations, NSF International, Online Tech and Stout Systems Inc. were all recipients of the 2014 Economic Bright Spot award winners, while Michael Tarasev – the founder, COO and CSO of Blaze Medical Devices – was recognized with a 2014 Entrepreneurs of Distinction award.

There were 46 winners overall across the state. They ranged from small businesses to multinational corporations, from companies employing less than 10 people to others with several thousand employees.

"Today we celebrated the companies and individuals that received this year's Michigan Economic Bright Spots and Entrepreneurs of Distinction awards for showing a passion for not only their businesses, but for improving the economy throughout the state of Michigan, as well," Jennifer Kluge, publisher of Corp! magazine, said in a statement.
