Job Overview

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for building strong strategic relationships with key stakeholders within Online Tech’s clients.  The TAM will work closely with our clients to deeply understand their business and help them develop strategies for evolving their technology maturation and ultimately partnering to drive greater client success in their businesses.

Position Responsibilities

  • Single point of contact across multiple clients for daily communication and regular client updates regarding projects and non-standard requests
  • Focus on customer success and overall satisfaction
  • Lead client service audits and business reviews
  • Learn, understand, and document the client business objectives and strategies to better deliver products and services that align, create, or accelerate client success
  • Active in all client incidents providing urgent communication to key relationships
  • Develop strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
  • Creates a strategic relationship with key stakeholders including Directors, Executives, line of business leaders, and technology professionals
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the market, the client’s business strategy and technology, our products and how all three come together to create client success
  • The TAM must be the agent of change, building and articulating the case for change; aid the client in evolving their technology maturity
  • Develop a deep understanding of client technical environments and the business need driving them
     


Required Skills and Background

  • 7+ years of hands-on Infrastructure / Troubleshooting / Systems Administration / Networking / DevOps / Applications Development experience in a distributed systems environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline required, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years leadership (technical or managerial) experience in a customer facing role
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills & experience
  • Highly polished, knows how to interact with and present to executive leadership
  • Strong presence with a high confidence and calm demeanor
  • Highly focused on client satisfaction and success – you are the client advocate
  • Engaged listener

 

Exceptional Candidates May Have

  • Strong industry certifications related to cloud, security, project management, or related
  • Experience in technology training, sales, management, or running a business
  • Experience working in a cloud or managed service provider environment
